#TaislanyTravels To Sweden!

As we are becoming closer and closer I thought it would be a nice idea to take you with me not only on my fashion adventures but also on my travels. Last year I didn’t have the chance to go away, so I want to make the most of my travels in 2016. These diaries will be mainly about my personal style when abroad, but I also want to share some of my discoveries and tips. Hope you guys like my Sweden Diary:

7:15pm – Take Off @LondonHeathrow

“See you soon London… Hej Sweden ?? “. It’s so funny how airport looks have become such a big thing for me. I used to just throw some leggings together with a random shirt and I was ready to go. I still go for the leggings and shirt, but I just pay a little more attention to details. To make this look more interesting chose these sunnies from Lacoste (only £49) and a warm jumper from Tommy Hilfiger.

Day One – 10am – Chocolates at Berzelii ChokladSwedenFor the first day in Göteborg my boyfriend’s sister took us to Berzelii Choklad, which is a very cute cafe in the center of the city. If I can give you a tip of where to go for the best hot chocolate it will be this place! I mean, this is their specialty; no wonder they have 11 different choices of hot chocolate.

11am – Picture Time, Say: Freeze!

After consuming so many chocolate-related calories, we decided to take a walk and do some sightseeing. I am not going to lie, It was cold. Actually, freezing (-5ºC). You might think I am being a drama queen. But let’s remember that even though London is cold, it hasn’t been below 0ºC for a long time. But you will forget about how cold it is eventually when you walk past by some beautiful buildings. Onto the look: for my first day, I chose a “Shades Of Grey” vibe. I think it looked great in contrast with the snow.

7pm – Dinner at Friend’s HouseSweden

Before doing any other activities, we went back to the hotel and crashed for a few hours. I really needed to catch up on sleep (like big time). I don’t know about you, but naps feel even better when you’re abroad. But. enough about sleeping. At 7 pm, we headed to the Central Station which was 1 minute away from our hotel and went to have dinner at my boyfriend’s best friend’s house. We had a lovely time, and found out that he will get married a few months from now, and that my boyfriend will be the Bestman and toast master! How awesome? I am so happy for them.

Day two – 11am – Garden Society of Gothenburg (Trädgårdsföreningen)SwedenSwedenSweden

The Palm House was such a highlight for me, not only to keep me warm after a few minutes out in the cold but also for its beautiful plantation. If you get the chance to visit you will find a very diverse range of plants. My favorite was the exotic room which has an impressive collection of trees from all around the world warm countries.

After the stop at the Palm House, we went to Köttbullekällar’n (translates to meatball basement) to have some traditional Swedish meatballs. We also went to my boyfriend’s sister’s house to spend some time with the family.

8pm – Drinks at Clarion Hotel PostSweden

It had been a long day, and it was Valentine’s Day after all. So we decided to explore the hotel and get a few drinks at their bar. I went for a Margarita and my boyfriend chose the “Kingslayer”, both were amazing.

11am – Check Out @Clarion HotelSwedenI had a lovely time in Gothenburg. It’s a perfect city for a few days away from the craziness of big cities. I also found it to be very romantic and tranquil. The hotel was also a great pick, the surroundings are modern and the staff is very friendly. And the rooftop heated swimming pool on the 13th floor is to die for, it was a shame we didn’t bring out swimsuits #shame.

7pm – Back To London

Should I stay or should I go? Time to fly back to London. I guess I’ll see you on my next trip! Ciao Bella x
