The day I became blonde AGAIN ft Bernardo Vasconcelos

Post by Taislany Gomes • October 13, 2016 • Beauty, Lifestyle

Who remembers the day I became blonde for the first time with Bernardo Vasconcelos? If not, you can check it in this post where I show the before and after’s. I was blonde for more than 4 years but after treating my hair with a different hairdresser it ended up extremely damaged. Tip: if you have a good hair stylist / hair colourist you should stick to them and not “try something new”, every time I’ve done that it has been a disaster ha-ha.

Bernardo has been my hairstylist for years and he is literally the only one who gets my hair right. I feel extremely blessed to have someone as professional and amazing as him taking care of my hair. screen-shot-2016-10-12-at-10-35-50Funnily enough, I think I met him when he first started his career here in London and it’s crazy how much he has evolved and has now become a celebrity and high profile hair stylist #fancy. Even though he has achieved great things he has never changed his beautiful and bubbly personality and that’s what makes him the best out there (such a proud client/friend).

Moving onto today’s post… I have done a quick Vlog showing the transition from being a light brunette to a bad ass blonde. I hope you guys enjoy it:

Recap on Bernardo Vasconcelos tips to maintain your locks looking fabulous and healthy:

1. Use a good Purple Shampooscreen-shot-2016-10-12-at-10-44-32This is the one product you need to keep your hair looking vibrant. The purple shampoo will get rid of the yellow tone that comes with time. A good purple shampoo will be dark purple, not light purple, and it shouldn’t have a runny consistency – basically: the darker the better. The one Bernardo recommends is the L’Oreal Professionnel Silver Shampoo, I have been using it for a few weeks and my hair looks the same as when I came out of his salon #approved.

2. Invest in a good hair maskBernardo Vasconcelos Even if you think your hair is healthy, the change of seasons can be hard on your strands, especially if like me you dye it. Bernardo Varconcelos recommends using L’Oreal Expert Professionnel Vitamino Colour Mask weekly to make sure you’re giving your hair the moisture it needs. If you have a busy life, try sleeping in a hair mask. You can apply the mask at the end of your shower and cover with a shower cap. Rinse out in the morning and you’ll have fabulous soft hair. A no-brainer huh?

3. Heat Protectant Girl… Heat Protectant!!Bernardo Vasconcelos This one is obvious, right? Whether you have virgin hair (lucky you) or damaged and colored hair you should be applying a heat protectant spray before applying any heat onto your beautiful locks. I started using it only a few years ago and wish I had started sooner as it helps minimize the damage we put our hair through. Bernardo recommended Davines OI All In One Milk.

These were Bernardo Vasconcelos top 3 tips on how to keep your blonde hair looking amazing.

I truly loved the end result, it was exactly what I wanted: a gentle sunkissed touch and he delivered it. If you’re thinking to change your hair colour I would suggest you trust your colorist and if you don’t know one, I can genuinely recommend Bernardo and his team. Always make sure to research your colorists work before putting your hair in their hands.

Oh, don’t forget to get regular trims. Your hair has been bleached, there will be breakage, so dead ends need to be gone!
