The Best New Fashions For Fall

Hi Dolls, we’ve officially entered the fall season, and I’ve already written about some fall beauty essentials. But with trendy new garments popping up in publications all over the world, and the time for wardrobe adjustments quickly passing by, I wanted to use this piece to look at some of the best fashions for fall in the clothing and accessories departments. I hope you enjoy my selections and suggestions!

Fur Outerwear: There’s always a certain chic quality to a fur coat, but this season these coats appear to be the primary options, ahead of leather jackets, pea coats, and other options that are popular year in and year out. Harper’s Bazaar’s fall look book called the trend “fantastic furs,” perhaps in an effort to avoid describing a particular style of coat or jacket; the truth is, furs are popping up in a huge range of styles and even different colors, not only in coats but on cuffs, and even on shoe exteriors! Perhaps more than ever before, it’s all about the fur.swBold Handbags: Whenever possible, I like to spice up my fall looks with fashionable handbags. It’s just an easier accessory to enjoy during cooler weather seasons, perhaps because with cumbersome garments on anyway it feels more natural to be carrying something around. At any rate, there are some spectacular options out there this year. Lyst looked at handbags in a feature for National Handbag Day and highlighted a number of top designer choices that added up to one word: bold. From the handy bucket bags that are visible at every turn this fall, to simple little clutches adorned with stitched-on graphics, everything made a statement—and this is just the sort of bag to look for to close out 2015.bags-11 Bold-Bag-1-1000x670

Sparkling Jewellery: Elle Magazine’s fall trend guide termed the jewellery looks of the season “the bling ring,” and discussed a return to sparkling, delicate feminine pieces. This isn’t one of the fall looks that first jumps out at you, but once you take notice it’s a very refreshing one. It’s also a reverse on some of the louder jewellery trends we’ve seen in recent years. Sparkling brooches, simple pearls, and shimmering drop earrings are a few of the highlights.elle_fall15trends_bigjewelsCarwash Pleats: If there’s one skirt or dress trend that stands out as particularly unique this fall, it’s the style of carwash pleats, also pointed out in Elle’s guide. For those who may be unfamiliar with the term, this refers to skirts cut like the draped rubber strips in a carwash, designed to create a flowing, flashing appearance. It’s a very noticeable look and a great way to show a little leg even while it’s cooler out.carwash_pleats_1024x1024

’70s Inspiration: This is another trend that’s actually carrying over from the spring and summer right into the chillier seasons. There’s always been a certain style appeal to the ’70s, and we’re seeing it lately in the form of chunky knit sweaters, cat eye sunglasses, high-waisted fall pants, and a number of other looks and garments. If you like to organise your seasonal wardrobe around a single unifying concept, this may be the one to consider in 2015.nivara-xaykao-happenstijl-fashion-style-runway-spring-summer-2015-70s-inspiration-edwardian-belle-epoque-prada-louis-vuitton-christian-diorNew-York-Fashion-Week-Trends-Seventies
