Clerkenwell and Social is a cocktail bar in St John’s Square that has quirky vibe to it. They have two floors, which makes the venue very spacious. Their cocktails are made with in-house infused liqueurs and spirits. The interior has a literary theme. Clerkenwell & Social is all about the area’s rich literary traditions and has two floors with quirks  to recognize its history. They have created a relaxed, informal atmosphere across their two floors, with  pasta dishes and freshly prepared pizzas.

To start the evening, we had a few cocktails to choose from:

As an accompaniment to our delicious cocktails, we got the two pizzas’ to share: Salami & Parma Ham (they also have gluten-free options!). I added Portobello mushrooms & pancetta to mine. Oh, and of course that they had their own range of chilli and garlic-infused oils, which are provided upon request. – Both pizzas were amazing;

I can definitely say that we were unbelievably spoiled by our waiter, he treated us to Clerkenwell & Social’s spirit-infused shots.

The 8 shots can be ordered together (£20) or separately at £3.50 each (the toffee & white chocolate shots, were my favourites).

I had an amazing time! Not only the interior, but the whole experience was spotless. I must also add that their menu is happily affordable for the quality that you get; their venue is perfect for after work drinks or an intimate date.
