Now that the world is starting to return to normality it is important for us to start considering going out in public once again. Like most of us, you have likely spent a lot of the last 12 months in your pyjamas and changing back to regular life can be a big step up and one with its challenges.
Today we want to take a look at some of the different ways that you can up your beauty game this week and give yourself the confidence to step out into the world over the next few months.
Dress up
The easiest way for you to get used to wearing your regular clothes again is to spend some time in front of the mirror this weekend and dress up. Try on different items of clothing and test them with other things you own – by trying different outfits you will gain the confidence to start dressing stylishly again, plus it’s a fun way to spend some time! For your next big event you can even think about where to Hire dresses to really make you look and feel special.
Use honey and lemon for glowing skin
One simple beauty trick to help you achieve a stunning complexion involves using honey and lemon as a face mask. Honey has antibacterial properties, and lemon is full of vitamin C which is essential for the production of collagen in the skin. To make the mask you need to cut a lemon in half and then squeeze some honey onto it. Rub this in circular motions on your skin for a minute and leave to soak for 10 minutes. Rinse off.
Try argan oil for hair growth
Argan oil is the holy grail of hair products and if you don’t already have a stash in your home you need to add this to your collection asap. There is a method for hair growth called the inversion method that involves massaging oil into your scalp while the head is tipped forward. Leave in the oil for an hour after a rinse. If you do this every day for a week, massaging for 5 minutes, you could not only make your hair feel silky and smooth but you will also be able to grow it a few inches.
Keep a light base
One of the biggest mistakes we make when doing our makeup for the day is to put too much foundation on it. In the spring and summer, in particular, it is not a good idea for you to put loads of foundation on because it can soon look cakey and unnatural. Stick to a light base such as a BB or CC cream for your foundation and you will soon notice a difference in the way your skin looks as well as the way you feel about it. Less is more and by allowing some of your natural glow to show through you’ll be better for it.
