How To Have A Younger Looking Face

Post by Taislany Gomes • May 12, 2021 • Beauty

Most of us want to age as gracefully as we can and maintain our youth for as long as possible. To feel and look as good as you can for as long as you can, try some of these easy tips for skincare, makeup and more.

Use Moisturiser, Then Foundation

As you age, your home levels drop and your skin gets drier. While you might want to swap to a cream foundation, don’t. Formulas that are thicker and creamier are usually made to give fuller coverage, which means that they are packed with more pigment. Pigment is basically powder. If you like a creamy formula’s coverage, try it with a richer moisturizer for your face, and a hydrating primer.

Try A Collagen-Based Face Cream

Collagen creams are a great tool for extending your youthful look. If you like the sound of that, try a collagen cream to erase some of your wrinkles. Good collagen creams can be expensive, but you should expect to see tightened, toned skin after a couple of weeks. If you’re worried about needing a fuller face, a jawline filler can help too.

Use A Concealer For Dark Circles

As soon as you have reached the years when you really need a concealer, it can start to let you down by sinking into the fine lines around your eyes. Stop your concealer from accidentally drawing attention to your wrinkles by applying it only on the inner halves of your under-eye area to cover up any signs of darkness. You could also swap your concealer for a brush-on highlighter pen instead.

Keep Your Eye Make-Up Simple

Oily lids can cause your eyeshadow to run, but this doesn’t mean that you should just pile on even more product to get a colour pay-off. Instead, apply a thin layer of a clear primer onto your eyelids first to help everything to stay in place. Next, apply a flattering eye shadow in something like a sage or jewel tone. Use a liquid eyeliner to create that perfect line, without pulling and tugging on your skin.

Curl Your Eyelashes

Even this small step can go a long way to changing the look of your face. Using an eyelash curler to open up your eyes makes a big difference. Lashes can make your eyes look more youthful and more awake. Take your curler and hold it for fifteen seconds on each eye for more open eyes.

Apply An SPF Every Day

This is especially important around your eye area. Eyelid skin (and the area under the eye) is the thinnest in the body, so sun damage will show up more quickly in this area than in others. This damage usually takes the form of dilating and increased blood flow. This means you can see a dark glow or colour through the transparency of the skin.

Gently Remove Your Eye Make-Up

You might be really looking forward to removing your makeup and jumping into bed, but make sure you take the time to remove your makeup properly. This constant tugging and pulling at the delicate skin around the eye area can increase the appearance of sagging and can look darker than the skin around it. When you take off your makeup, try to pull as little as possible around the eyes can make a lot of difference over time.

You could use a cleansing oil or balm to remove your mascara and eyeshadow with minimal tugging.

Go To The Salon For A Fringe

Bangs are a good way to experiment with your look without going too over-the-top. Bangs can make people look younger. However, do a quick test run before you commit to the change. Put your hand over your forehead, and look in the mirror. Take your hand away. Which look do you like better? Make sure your bangs are full and reach the centre of your brows, or that they are longer and more side-swept so they’re the most flattering. Go to a salon to have them done, and don’t try to cut in bangs yourself.

Eat Fruits And Vegetables With Lots Of Vitamin C

Vitamin C boost your body’s collagen naturally, which helps you to keep your skin looking firm and youthful. Eat plenty of vitamin C rich fruits and vegetables, like strawberries and bell peppers, to give you that youthful glow.

Eat Salmon

This fish is high in omega-3 fatty acids which help to reduce inflammation, which changes how the skin looks. Nutrients like vitamin D and antioxidants can also rescue the risk of skin cancer and help with acne and rosacea.
