What to Wear on a Special Occasion? Wedding, Formal and Evening Parties ?

When invited to a party or a special occasion, the dilemma starts, what to wear? Being dressed appropriately for a “dressy” event is not complicated but it always ends up being a mission (at least for me haha). Even men question the ideal outfit for a formal occasion, why wouldn’t we, right?

When I say special occasion, I mean a formal party, a wedding, a graduation, a dinner, an award, etc. The dress code obviously differs depending on who is organising these parties but there are pieces you can buy to wear to all of them and always look apart.
Let’s start by talking about accessories. I personally think that it’s one of the most important things when planning a glamorous look. Don’t be afraid, go for some bling-bling. They can and will make all the difference to your look. Choose one as a focal point – it could be a maxi necklace, a bracelet, a pair of earrings, a wonderful ring or a combination of those.
I visited Tresor Paris’s store last week and absolutely fell in love with this gorgeous charm bangle. It was love at first sight! It’s crafted in solid sterling silver and feels so luxurious. I love the fact that you can add charms to it. It’s my birthday this weekend and I am welcoming charms as a present #hint.
Oh, don’t forget about hair and makeup, it should be in harmony with whatever you choose to wear. If you’re going for a simple dress and natural makeup, maybe add some flowers, a tiara or braids to add some personality to the look. This beautiful nude embellished prom dress is a perfect fit for a day-time wedding guest look. It has a full circular skirt with a plunging neckline, adorned with hand sewn beading across the bust, so dreamy!! Big time princess vibes! This dress is definitely a sophisticated addition to any wardrobe. The bag should be small and preferably structured (hard), as it gives a more modern and chic look. I teamed it up with perspex heels and a small cream clutch (that I forgot to include in the pictures) but you can add some colour instead. Totally up to you!!
