Why I Love Rose Quartz And Serenity (And You Should, Too!)

Why I Love Rose Quartz And Serenity (And You Should, Too!)

Do you know that Pantone picked Rose Quartz and Serenity as 2016 Color of the Year? In simple words: pale pink and soft/baby blue will rule this year (Marsala was 2015’s color of the year). I am very excited about these two colors because they bring gender equality. We were born learning that pink are for girls and blue for boys but I hope that this year we get to do a remix.
Rose Quartz And SerenityPantone Color Institute executive director Leatrice Eiseman shared her views on the subject: “When you use colors that are at opposite sides of the color wheel, what you’re doing is reinforcing the opposite color. You’re reinforcing the serenity, the tranquility that the blue contains putting pink with it. You know the beauty of the blue sky. And you’re doing the same thing for Rose Quartz, by complimenting it with a cooling element on the opposite side of the color wheel. It’s a delicate balance that exists between the two and they support each other. Support is an important word.”
Rose Quartz And SerenityEiseman also pointed out, “Rose is also an embracing color, reflecting wellness, which of course is a big issue with everybody. With the tranquility of the blue, you get a kind of soothing feeling of order, composure and peace. We thought that really was tantamount to putting these two colors together and presenting them.”
Rose Quartz And SerenityLast year was a year of many events, some of them being negative. Bringing soft and serene colors to this new begging seems like a brilliant idea. Not to mention, how cool is it that we not only have one color but TWO?! We are just being spoiled now ha-ha

We have such stressful lives, introducing colors, that bring the desire of tranquility, well-being and peace will become more and more popular. The two colors form a beautiful gradient tone and if you look up-close it has a lilac finish when mixed together. Using the two colors as inspiration, I have put a few things together to celebrate the colors of 2016:Rose Quartz And SerenityI was a little cheeky and borrowed my boyfriend’s watch (from Daniel Wellington). A girls does what she has to do right? The funny thing is: I really like how this watch looks on me, and how it looks when combined with soft colors like Rose Quartz and Serenity.
Rose Quartz And SerenitySomeone got a little carried away when putting this picture together (oh wait, that’s me). Some of these items have been in my drawers for at least 2 years and some of them for 2 weeks. It’s nice to mix the old with the new, it gives you more to play when it comes to styling. If there’s one thing that I am sure is that the old items will be used more then ever in 2016.
Rose Quartz And SerenityThe glitter is not in the Rose Quartz and Serenity theme, but you can wear the soft pink color in four of the nails and add the glitter in one to bring a little sparkle to the nails. Add the Rose Quartz on your nails (with a little sparkle) as well as a blue bag or anything you have in baby blue and Voila! You’re ready to go.

As Rose Quartz has been nominated for 2016, we will see a lot of rose gold accessories. So I couldn’t be happier when I got this rose watch, with pink blush links, and sparkling stone set bezel. It fits perfectly with this year’s colors (this one is from: Michael Kors).

Rose Quartz and Serenity In Fashion and Makeup:

Rose Quartz And Serenity Rose Quartz And SerenityTogether, the two colors look like a beautiful sunset; I can’t wait to try a makeup look it.

Rose Quartz And Serenity for men:

Rose Quartz And SerenityHow about pairing a beautifully polished velvet jacket from the tuxedo rental company, TheBlackTux with Love Rose Quartz And Serenity bow-ties? I would be definitely impressed by a man who can pull these colors together. So, lads make sure to use these tones this year.

Hope you guys liked it, let me know in the comments below and don’t forget to share with your friends and family. It means a lot!
