Stretch marks can occur during periods of weight gain, puberty, or pregnancy. Getting rid of stretch marks isn’t easy, however, there are many effective ways to reduce the appearance of stretch marks. Below are just a few different ways to reduce stretch marks.

Aloe vera

Aloe vera is a succulent plant that has many uses as herbal medicine. It is known to be a particularly good natural healing agent and skin softener. This can make aloe vera a good choice for reducing scarring such as stretch marks.

There are lots of aloe vera skin products on the market that you can try. Such products are also known to be good against skin issues such as sunburn, psoriasis and acne.

Natural oils

Many natural oils including argan oil, coconut oil, and lavender oil may be able to reduce stretch marks. This is because they are often high in vitamin E, which has skin rejuvenating properties.

You can buy bio oil products online. Natural oils can have other uses such as combating early signs of wrinkles.

Cocoa butter

Another natural remedy to try is cocoa butter. Cocoa butter helps to soften skin by seeping into the dermis much like a moisturizer – not just healing the surface of the skin, but also the inner layers. It is full of nutrients that are good for the skin. This makes it a great ingredient for combating stretch marks.

There are lots of cocoa butter skin products to choose from. Such products are often used to treat other scars and wrinkling too.

Lemon juice

You can also try reducing stretch marks by using lemon juice. Lemon juice is full of vitamin C, which is an essential vitamin for helping our body to heal.

You may be able to use household lemon juice or you could try looking for skin products containing lemon juice. Lemon juice is known to have other skin benefits such as reducing inflammation and decreasing oil in the skin, making it good against acne.

Retinol

Retinol is concentrated vitamin A. This supplement can help rebuild collagen in the skin and can be very effective at reducing stretch marks. In fact, recent stretch marks can be healed completely by using retinol.

You can find retinol creams at your local pharmacy. Retinol is also often used to fight wrinkles and acne.

Professional treatments

There are a number of medical procedures that you can undertake to reduce stretch marks. This includes light and laser treatments and microdermabrasion treatments. While more expensive than using skin products, these treatment options are some of the most effective ways to get rid of stretch marks. They can also be used to get rid of other scarring.

Search online to find clinics in your area that offer treatment for stretch marks. Use a trusted clinic to help get the best results.
