How to Dress to Impress This Winter ❄️?
With the joy of the cooler breezes comes the excitement of assembling warm looks without looking puffy, right? That’s why I have put together 5 Tips on How to Dress to Impress This Winter:
1.Don’t ditch the sunnies just yet
It’s getting colder but there’s still some sunshine so, there’s no need to ditch the sunnies just yet! Sunglasses always gives that extra touch to the look and makes you look more sophisticated and on-trend.
Today I visited The University of Greenwich for the first time and I must say that it is absolutely beautiful. It’s only 20 minutes away from where I live and I can’t believe it took me so long to go there. Anyway, landscape aside… let’s go back to my tips on how to dress to impress on those freezing days to come.
2.Layers, Layers, Layers
Layering is a must but sometimes they can ruin a look if it’s badly executed. The worst and most serious mistake when making layering is choosing two very bulky pieces. Ideally, balance the composition (1 light piece + 1 heavier piece). Also, try to coordinate similar color pieces or patterns to create harmony.
3. Second Skin Tops
If you’re not really into layering then you should look into getting a good second-skin top. They are super warm which means that you won’t need to have so many layers. These tops are usually sold in sports stores and are normally quite affordable. The one I am wearing is the Hush Second Skin Long Sleeve Shirt.
4 .Let your bag steal the show
Great winter style really boils down to the perfect pair of boots but why not step away from the predictable and let your bag steal the show this winter!? Well, at least that’s what I have decided to do – who’s with me? My bag of choice is the Small Lottie Bag in Grape Saffiano by Aspinal of London. 5.Embrace faux fur
The only factors that make me excited about winter are Christmas and the fact that it is Faux Fur season! So I just have fun with it! You can wear fur with just about anything to give your outfit an instant upgrade. When choosing what to wear with my gorgeous Grape toned bag I couldn’t think of anything better than this oldie of mine. Have you noticed that the tones match each other? Not on purpose at all (as if).
Don’t forget to finish your winter look with the perfect fragrance! It seems silly but, the perfume you wear will not only make you smell better – it will also make you appear more put together. In fact, a woman that wears perfume tends to be rated as more physically attractive.
Having that in mind, I chose Dear Rose Oud Vibration as my signature winter fragrance.
