Even thought it was a longer walk from Victoria we really enjoyed the stroll. I would say that it’s a 15min walk from Victoria and less than 10 from Sloane Square. No.11 Pimlico Road is located in a cute corner at Pimlico Rd, Belgravia. When I first saw it, I got brunch vibes straight away.We got a perfectly sized round table by the window which was just what we needed: a perfect spot to enjoy our meal in a beautifully decorated space. A really spacious restaurant with high ceilings, modern decor and contemporary influences including white marble tables, rustic windows and cozy sofas making it the perfect place for a relaxed meal or drinks… or both.Talking about drinks, we started off by ordering some cocktails; there’s a great selection to choose from, I wanted something light and girlie so, I went for the Elderflower and Earl Grey which had Tanqueray Export gin, earl-grey, and elderflower cordial. My boyfriend wanted something simple and easy-going so, he chose the Pineapple & Sage Mojito which had Doorleys rum, Wray & Nephew rum, fresh pineapple and sage. They were both delicious and most importantly… needed! I mean, a cocktail never hurt nobody!
With the cocktails, we started to get peckish. The Dill & Lemon Fish Cake sounded like the right thing to order. It came with a delicious Crème fraiche tartar, it really complimented the fish cakes and it was gone in no time.I had looked at the menu during my train journey so I already knew what I wanted as a main. You guessed it: Steamed Mussels Mariniere (Cream, white wine, garlic & parsley) with some yummy warm sourdough bread. The portion size was insane, the biggest I have ever had at a restaurant and the mussels looked succulent and ready to be in my tummy. With no doubt, best mussels I had in a long time; thumbs up to No.11 Pimlico Road.My boyfriend went for the classic steak and fries, I didn’t try it but he said it was very tasty – we shall trust him.Even though we were full, I decided that I still had a little space for dessert but, who am I kidding? I couldn’t handle a heavy pudding; it had to be light but sweet so, the Eton Mess was a winner. When do strawberries, meringue and cream disappoint? Let me answer this one for you, never.
Overall, it was a lovely experience, with good, attentive service and every single thing they put on your table look impeccable. I couldn’t stop taking pictures of everything because it all looked so pretty and Instagrammable. No.11 Pimlico Road is definitely a cool and trendy place to hang out and grab something to eat.
