National Selfie Day? Yes, it might sound ridiculous to some of you but this is official! June 21 celebrates the popular self-portrait photographs, better known as “selfies,” they have become an inescapable trend over the past few years. I’m not sure who has the authority to declare these things, but let’s be honest people have been taking pictures of themselves forever but all the technology has made it a phenomenon and we just can’t stop snapping.

Social media is full of celebrations and we can try to deny it but it really is taking over most of ours lives. I’m aware that Selfies may encourage vanity, but it is also a great way to express yourself. In honor of #NationalSelfieDay, I’ve gathered my favorite selfies to celebrate this selfie culture.
