Time to get ready dolls! I filmed this video a few months ago when this was my “go to” look. Not much has changed, I am still obsessed with cool neutrals and bronze tones and this combines both for an amazing look that you can wear to go on a date, events or even to work (when you want to slay and make all your work colleague jealous ha-ha).
On this specific day I was meeting a friend for some major catch-up – we hadn’t seen each other in forever and knowing her like I do, I expected loads of selfies and Snapchat action so I decided to make an effort and make myself camera ready. My day started by having a nice and long shower. I washed my hair with a strengthening line by Kérastase: Resistance Bain Force Shampoo and Masque Force Architecte. I have been using the Resistance Bain Force line for 6 months and it has really helped my hair get stronger and healthier. If you buy the whole line like I did, it will cost you around £70 but a little goes a long way with all Kérastase products.
Let me just mention that I have not been paid or sponsored to say this, I bought it with my own money and I am sharing this information with you guys because I know how it feels when your hair is beyond damaged and you feel like nothing is helping it grow stronger. A girl from the salon I used to go to to recommended this line to me 8 months ago and they really do work wonders for your hair. It won’t be a “quick fix” but in the long run, your hair will definitely recover.Moving on, before applying heat to my hair I applied the Ciment Thermique as a heat protector – it has strengthening and anti-breakage effect. I like this particular one because it smoothes the hair and adds shine. I have also talked about cheaper heat protectors in this post.
While I do my hair I like to multi-task and do some skin care as well. I used the Neutrogena Grapefruit Scrub to unclog my pores and get rid of any residuals of makeup from the previous day (you never know). I didn’t show it in the video, but I also applied a day cream. The one I used was the Clinique Moisture Surge Intense Hydrator. I like it because it’s light on the skin and it brings moisture instantly without feeling heavy or sticky.
