If you read The Complete Beginner’s Guide to Small Living Room then you know that I have moved from my mum’s house! It’s been a few weeks since the move and I obviously miss having my mum so close (especially her cooking ha-ha) but I would be lying if I said that I am not enjoying my own little home.

When we were still packing there was only one thing that was essential: a good mattress. The reason why a mattress was a must-have from day one was because 1. Which was fantastic timing for us, the mattress was waiting for us in the flat 2 days before we moved! Knowing that it had been delivered was such a relief as everything else was going to take months to be delivered.The mattress itself comes in a very sleek box. When I first saw it, I wasn’t quite sure how it actually fit in there. Yes, I am a slow thinker.

Taking it out of the box was a lot easier than I thought, it took me about 5 minutes to get the job done and leave it to inflate. It grows so much, I remember leaving it for 10-15 minutes to unpack and when I came back it had doubled the size. They’re vacuum-sealed, so you simply have to unbox, unroll, and watch the magic happen.The mattress is surprisingly firm and very comfortable but like with any new mattress: the longer you have it, the more comfortable it gets. Overall, I love Casper’s concept. It’s such an easy experience, from beginning to end. Very easy to order, the delivery is speedy and the packaging is practical, making it very easy to get the mattress out and ready to use.

The small touches like the “Good Night” envelope and booklets make the whole experience more special.
